I found this band by chance during the Christmas sales! Was originally going to go back to the ring designer for a matching band but this was wayyyy cheaper haha!

fuchsia1027:  half and half. My ering is tricky to match. I was planning on just plain platinum band but as much as I wanted it to, they just didn’t sit properly next to it.

I knew we were taking a holiday to NYC and as diamonds and platium are cheaper in us compared to uk so we wanted to buy our bands in NYC. I asked bees for style recommendations to go with my ering and several suggested 3 stone step cut to tie in with the baguettes. So in the diamond district I was looking for something like it.

Tried on so many different styles and then in one jewelers we found it with good diamond specs too. It wasn’t sitting quite right and it was flat along both sides (which would have been perfect for erings that allow a band to sit flush) so the jeweller recommended some changes including bringing the sides of the prongs out and bit and matching them to the ering spacing. He did it perfectly (it was ready in 2 days along with my FI’s ring). So I have a gap but I love my set. Gotta wait until June to wear it.

futuremrsmierz:  Thanks! It’s a 6.5mm light blue sapphire from Moissaniteco. It’s much lighter most of the time, but it was pretty dark in my house when I took that photo.

ad85:  Gorgeous!  Is it a cushion cut?  An asher?  It’s really beautiful – congratulations ☺

bridgtin:  It’s a cushion, on a 6.75 finger, although this style has a thinner shank so I probably should have gone for the 6.5.
