Currently on microgynon, which keeps me happy! But I am thinking about switching to the IUD at some point

We’ve done the pill (I hate remembering), depo shot (I seriously bled daily for 8 months before I gave up), and condoms (not FI’s favorite). I’ve heard IUDs can risk damaging your uterus..

We are in the process of learning and mastering tracking my ovulation! Either NFP or the FAM method.  I take my temps, track my CF, and all. We are going to a hospital course that is taught by an OBGYN on it in Oct.

While I’m not fully comfortable enough to use it as our only method right now, I can tell ya that I had no idea how accurate and empowering this would be! I can tell this is the natural, female-friendly birth control plan we can use for our lifetime 🙂 end rant

I used the nuvaring for 8 years and LOVED it!!! I am super forgetful when it comes to the pill (I tried every trick to try to remember and NOTHING worked). Finally with the nuvaring I was able to be consistent with it and absolutely loved it. Plus, when I was ready to get pregnant, I got knocked up the first month off of it 🙂

I’m actually going to be going back on the Pill from the NuvaRing.

I did Yasmin which I liked better than depo, nuva ring, and the patch. Right now were just baby  basting as I’m expecting 🙂

@Firemansgirl:  I’m on the Mirena IUD. I absolutely LOVE it. Everyone else is posting on here that it seriously hurt to insert it, but honestly, I didn’t feel a thing during insertion. I wasn’t given any numbing medicine or anything, and I just took 400mg ibuprofen before the visit. I think the trick is to relax. Most people are super nervous, and it causes them to tense up. I just chatted with my doctor the whole time (I have a fantastic doctor) and didn’t feel a thing.

I use the Nuvaring. I LOVED it with my ex and I HATE it with my SO. With my ex he never felt it, I never felt it…awesome. Now my SO is so much bigger/thicker that it moves it around during sex and actually pushes it up so far that it hurts…so I have to pull it out everytime I have sex…

not a big deal I guess, but it is kind of a turn off to be like…ok stop a sec…:::rip out ring:::ok, lets go!

I had a non-hormonal IUD for two years.  It worked great after the 6 mos of really long periods.  But I was having a lot of problems.  I’m now on Yaz and so far so good.
