The first couple of weeks, the fetus feeds off of a yolk sac, not from your blood, so there’s no worries about the few drinks :-). I’m sure it’s all ok!! Congrats!!

I don’t have any experience with Provera but in regards to a few drinks I would not be worried at all.

Keep us updated what your second test says. Good luck!

@ctbridetobe:  Congrats! YAY!

You will want to talk to your doctor about the provera. Taking the medication while pregnant isn’t a problem, I don’t think, because it’s just progesterone, which your body produces during your LP and uses to help the embryo implant. You only took it one day, so it might not matter, but your doc also might choose to keep you on a progesterone supplement through the end of your first trimester, just in case.

WOW congrats!!! 🙂  Don’t worry about the drinks – like PPs said it was too early for the fetus to share !

Congrats! Like the others said, I wouldn’t worry about it. You only took Provera once before finding out and you didn’t do any hard core drinking so the baby should be fine. I know some people who drink a LOT and don’t find out they are pregnant until 2-3 months and the babies are fine. You should have to worry about anything but I wiould talk to your doctor about the medicine.
