I was on Yaz and completely cleared up my face. I started getting chest pressure and pain so my doc switched me to Loestrin24Fe, and then I stopped taking that and he now prescribed me Reclipsen.
I have been reading on this and I have read that it causes serious headaches, not cool. I need something that will clear up my face, and doesn’t have to bad of side effects.
So what bc are you on?

I am on Lo’Ovral generic Cryselle.
It has helped with my acne (I used to get acne badly) and I’ve been on it probably 8-9 months now and I wouldn’t come off it for the world. I don’t get headaches on it.
I was on Ortho Tri Cyclin and I bruised terribly so I was off it within a month and started Lo’Ovral.

I was on orth tricyclen for years, and didnt notice a differece when I went off it.
to clarify, I went on it when I was15 for acne. It did not help much as a teenager, but when I went off it when I was 23, 4 years ago, i did not notice a differencec
I did however notice a huge difference when i stopped wearing make up daily

I’ve been on Orthotricyclen for 2 years now and although my acne nor periods were very bad to begin with, they have lightened. I do get headaches more often than I used to, but nothing too crazy.

@peachbaby4008: I have the Mirena IUD, and broke out in angry red pimples on my chin. I kept thinking they’d go away, but they didn’t. I saw my doctor and she prescribed this cream with clindamycin and peroxide in it – amazing stuff! Used it for a little while, even on my nose where I have a lot of blackheads, and they all disappeared! Now, I only use it if I feel a pimple coming up. Only issue is that it makes you more prone to sunburn while you’re using it. While I was overseas, I bought this Chinese cream which works pretty well too! The doctor prescribed creams are definitely worth a try, the doctor said that anything you buy off the shelf isn’t strong enough. I had tried Proactive and it was so harsh on my skin, it felt burnt.

@peachbaby4008: I came off the ring last year after being on it for 7 years, and now I’ve been on reclipsen for a year. I’m really happy with it except for some weight gain, but my nutrition is not the healthiest, so I can’t blame it all on the pill. I struggle with acne when I am not on some type of bc but no matter what kind I am on, it has improved with birth control.

I used to be on just the generic Sprintec and didn’t have much of a problem with acne but I went off birth control a year ago and have been dealing with horrible acne ever since 🙁

I was on Reclipsen for several years and my skin was absolutely perfect. I’m now on the Mirena IUD and my skin is ok :/ but I don’t miss being on the pill. Nothing topical ever worked for me (other than getting sunburned) but the pill was great.
