Heinz ketchup, Bounty paper towels, kleenex tissues. At Trader Joes and Whole Foods, the store brand is generally pretty good, so I feel fine buying it for most other stuff.

I generally buy store brand stuff (President’s Choice has so many delicious options!) but I have to have:

– Heinz Ketchup

– Nile soups

– Quaker rice cakes

I work for a company that produces “name brand” stuff and “no name” stuff and I can tell you that they are often the exact same quality! It’s wild to see them side by side on the shelf for such different prices.

everything but two items is brand name for us.  the only generic/store stuff we buy is wollworths paper towels and toilet paper because i really prefer the store brand (has to be woolworths not coles) over the more expensive ones. weird i know

@Mrs.ChubbyBunny: Yeah, I suppose to be fair I should add that *some* of our name brand customers have really strict rules about their products, and make us go to lengths that we would never bother with for the rest of our lines. So sometimes name brand really is just better. 😉

Oil of Olay spf 15 daily face lotion. I accept no substitute!

Otherwise we pretty much either buy generic brand (household items, pasta, oats, flour, canned beans, cereal, rice) or organic / farmers’ market stuff (fruit & veg, eggs, cheese).

Organic Valley:  milk, half & half, pasture butter

Bounty:  Paper Towels – the kind that rip off in smaller sheets

Wild Planet Foods:  canned tuna, salmon

Vital Farms:  pastured eggs – I’m not loyal to this brand, but they are the only ones that sell to any grocery stores in my area – so I’ve become loyal but would stray if there were others that made them available.
