I was walking through Target yesterday and scoped out the baby section just for giggles. I noticed that the Target brand was much cheaper than Huggies and Pampers. Are they as good as the name brand? Just curious 🙂

I think it depends on your little one and how they fit them. For example, my cousins daughter leaked in all brands except pampers. But yet my brother’s little one can wear any brand. Same thing with formulas, some babies can’t hold certain brands of formula down. It really is a trial and error type thing.

I agree with PP, it’s 1st about fit, and 2nd about preference.
I’ve never tried generic brands of diapers, but I have tried both Huggies and Pampers. While both fit Dear Daughter, and neither caused leaks, I hated, HATED Pampers. I thought they were cheap and plastic feeling, so I only use Huggies.
However, there are tons of people that feel the reverse is true.
P.S. I buy my diapers on Amazon–way cheaper than buying in store.

@vintage2010: is right – it just depends on the baby. Huggies were my favorite with the Target brand a close second. I’m like @Quietserenity: in that I didn’t like pampers. I also did not care for Luvs.

And I am a pampers fan! I tried target brand and huggies and didn’t like them at all (well I liked the price tag on the target brand!).

We did use honst diapers, but found some natural diapers on Amazon for only $27. THEN I found out they were the same ones Kroger uses for their natural brand so we buy those. Comforts Nature. AND you get a $3 off coupon everytime you spend $10. (the diapers are $6.99 for a pack of 31.) She only uses them at daycare, so she doesn’t need as many as another baby would.
