I have a samsung. I love ALL my other samsung appliances, but i HATE the dishwasher. It doesnt clean, takes a while. Its fairly quiet, but who cares if the dishes dont come out clean lol. Some dishes actually come out dirtier! Like if we have a dirty plate on the bottom, sometimes the glasses on the top rack end up with the residue of that plate inside them. Ick.

We have a Siemens dishwasher.  I’d never heard of that brand, but it came with our house and I love it now.  It’s at least 7 years old since that’s how long we’ve had the house, and still works perfectly.  Everything comes out clean and dry (except for the water that sits in the lip on top of mugs.  But if we open it up and just swipe the water out with our finger real quick while everythign is still hot, it drys out in no time too.  And my favorite part is that is it practically completely silent, we barely hear a low hum even standing right next to it.

jellybellynelly :  I agree about Samsung, they make great appliances and TVs but the dishwasher is a total dud so I replaced the Samsung with Whirlpool and I have been very happy with Whirlpool

Miele. No idea what it costs but worth every penny. So quiet that Hubs opens it by mistake when it is running despite the illuminated symbol on the floor that shows how much time is left in the cycle. Washes everything great but gently. We use sterling silver flatware for every day and wash it and crystal stemware with pots and pans with no issues to anything. Hope that helps.

We have all whirlpool appliances and I really like my dishwasher. I’m not sure how old ours is, came with the house when we bought it last year. We run dishes every 2-3 days.

If yours is only a year old shouldn’t it be covered with some warranty?

Bosch. It’s wonderful.

Our apartment has a Frigidaire. I love it, I’m really impressed at how well it cleans. My SO has a habit of setting used dishes on the counter over night without rinsing or soaking them first, so the washer has cleaned its fair share of hardened sticky substances. Sometimes silverwear might need a second bath, but so far everything else comes out squeaky clean and the glasses stay clear. No idea what model it is, but it’s just a small apartment size one so I assume it wasn’t too pricey…most are under $1000 anyway. It’s not really quiet, though. As far as I know it’s been running for over 2 years now.

My parents have been through several dishwashers (can’t remember which brands they’ve gone through, pretty sure whirlpool is one) and they never seem to clean well, which is why I’m so impressed that this tiny apartment unit cleans better than their full size one, haha.

jellybellynelly :  Whirlpool is way cheaper than Samsung and worth it, maybe you can replace your Samsung dishwasher in the future…

We have an LG dishwasher, it was on the more expensive side but we love it. Cleans everything really well. Is super quiet and it’s got a thin top rack for cutlery which is handy!

I have a relatively inexpensive Frigidaire dishwasher. I really like it, but it’s definitely not quiet. It works for Darling Husband and me though.

My parents and my sister both have Bosch dishwashers. They LOVE them, and they’re almost completely silent. When Darling Husband and I upgrade to a larger home, we’ll definitely get a Bosch dishwasher.

We have a Frigidaire that came with our house. All of the other kitchen  appliances are Frigidaire as well and they all pretty much suck. Granted they’re about 12 years old but still. The dish washer is insanely loud.

We have a Bosch, and I’d definitely recommend it.
