@BelleriverBride: I honestly hardly bled at all. In the hospital they put me in these HUGE diaper like pads and there would be like a quarter size drop of blood. I had never used a pad in my entire life prior and found it to be quite disgusting. I left the hospital and wore a storebrand panty liner for about three days and then I didn’t need it anymore.

@MusicBee76: I initially went to a drug store (I belive Shoppers), but it was a small bottle and kind of expensive for the amount. I bet you could get more for less at a health food store.
I ended up breaking down and buying a large bottle at Walmart (I really hate Walmart), but with a third-degree tear, I wasn’t playing around.

@MusicBee76: I use Witch Hazel on my face and get it at Whole Foods.
And the plastic bottle is called a peri bottle. Very necessary tool in those weeks after birth to really clean! Actually at 39 weeks now I could use a peri bottle!

One of my friends swears by the hospital pads– take whatever you can home with you. Also, they gave her diapers that were chilled to use against her stitches after delivery– she said it was the best thing ever.
