I hear gals talking about the “full bridal experience” and am just curious what it means to each individual lady. For my sister it was multiple bridal showers/bachelorette parties, lavish wedding, & exotic honeymoon. For one of my BMs it was the act of wedding dress shopping with her mother & Fiance. Anybody want to chime in??? π

Hmm, interesting. It’s so different for everyone you’re right!
It was important to me that family be there, it was important to have my mom involved, and I do think I would have felt a little let down if I hadn’t had any showers. I had two – a couples and a bridal. Also, it wouldn’t have felt bridal to me to not wear white or have a veil, even though I only wore it as decoration and didn’t put it over my face. π haha.
We didn’t get to go on a honeymoon, our wedding wasn’t anything super fancy, but I felt very bridal the day-of. π

@AmeliaBedelia: I agree with you on a lot of that! No veil tho, my hair has enough issues on it’s own! rofl
@Angelz_love: Hey, you guys are loved! lol Glad you had all of them there! π

Getting ready with my girlies on my wedding day was such an amazing “bridal”experience. When else will all of my girls be there at the same time, wearing pretty robes, eating cream puffs, telling stories, laughing, lounging, getting our hair and make-up done, etc.? It was such a great girl time experience that really made me feel loved and papmered and totally spoiled. I was floating on cloud 9.

Dress shopping with my mom. I wish I didn’t find or at least put the deposit down on my dress so quickly so that I could have lived the experience longer. Definitely one of the best memories of my life.

@lovekiss: It sounds like you had a wonderful time with your girls! I imagine it was nice to just be “in the moment” with them!
@Frukaj: Dress shopping with my Mom has been one of my favorite things so far as well! Your Mom must have been pretty helpful if you found a dress quickly! Mine like almost all of them… made it hard to decide! lol

Well we decided to elope and truthfully the only thing important to me was being able to wear a dress and veil. Otherwise I just wasn’t really into all of the other bridal things…but I’m probably not in the norm!!

i would say everything to do with my bridal party(my sisters and 2 best friends) and seeing how happy and excited my mom is about everything. it’s brought all of us even closer then before.

I can’t really think of anything. Most of the stuff, outside of getting married, I’m kinda “meh” about. I went dress shopping with my fam/BMs, but it wasn’t a super emotional, milestone experience.
I’m having a shower because they are awesome and want to throw me one.
I’m just really excited about our wedding day and how we’ll be celebrating, but that is specific to our plans and not usually part of a general experience. π

Shopping for rings and getting married abroad was my idea of a “bridal experience.” π

Hmmm… music, personalized ceremony, making it feel like ‘us’.
Oh, and rocking my dress. And I mean, rocking.
