I dont like bridal shower games very much.  The one I do like is where a timer goes off, and if it goes off while she bride is opening your gift, you get a prize.  I guess I like it because it doesn’t involve having to do anything.

I don’t really like games, either, but someone on here mentioned the What’s In Your Purse game, where you get points for stuff in your purse–the weirder it is, the more points you get.

My Mother-In-Law is opposed to doing ‘who knows the bride best’ games because she thinks any of my friends would have an unfair advantage over an out-of-town aunt.

I went to one where we played – ‘What’s in your purse’ – that was fun!

It was basically a list with points for sifferent items. Common items were 1 pt and the more uncommon the higher the points.

So, Chapstick would be one point while a phonebook or a cup of oatmeal would be more. lol those weren’t actual items though. I am sure some lists exist online.

For my friends’ bridal shower I am doing a game where I send her out and have everyone try to remember what she is wearing for a prize, and I THINK I may do a “Ask the Groom” thing too where I ask him questions before hand and at the shower if she ends up answer incorrectly she has to chew a piece of bubblegum.

At mine we had a kitchen game where you had to guess what was in the bag just by looking at it. In the bags they had cornstarch, baking soda, baking powder, flour, sugar, and so on.

Pin the sperm on the uterus, guess the mom’s belly circumference with a piece of string, and especially decorating onesies are always fun. It also helps to serve drinks though!!

As a guest, the only game I like is Bingo. It makes gift opening a lot less boring.

I loved the game that my SIL made.  She listed one name of a famous couple and everyone had to come up with that person’s significant other.  She had old TV couple, cartoons, present celebrities.  It was awesome!

I enjoy the game where teams of three make a dress out of toilet paper and the bride picks her favourite dress. That was really fun at my shower.

Another great one I saw involved the host having a list of “ask the groom” questions that the bride had to answer. She then had an actual VIDEO of the groom answering the questions. It was adorable. He gave a little “i love you” message at the end and every woman teared up a little bit. Very special.

I had two showers- one with no gamesand one with games. I actually had more fun at the one with the games.

I did not think that I would like the games very much but we actually had a blast! We did the “whats in your purse” game, the timer one where the giver gets a prize if the bride is opening your gift when the timer goes off.

We also did the groom question thing but not with gum.  We did it where if the bride got a question wrong she had to take a pudding shot and if she got it right she got to draw a name of a guest out of a hat and the guest had to take the pudding shot!  Lots of fun and the guests seemed to think it was funny. We also did this while the bride was opening the gifts so it wasn’t so awkward for the guest or the bride (that part can be really boring for the guest and a little overwhelming for the bride)

We also did the toilet paper bride which I totally thought was going to be lame but had everyone laughing and the dresses turned out so cool!

We played ‘Kiss the Ass’ at a recent shower which is like pin the tail on the donkey expect we put a picture of the grooms face over the donkeys face and the idea was to apply lipstick and kiss the grooms ass. The closest to the ass wins! People loved it
