At the last bridal shower I went to we played a “whats the bride wearing” game… She left the room for about 15 mins. without us noticing then we were assked to grab a form that was in a basket on the table that had things like
Sarah is wearing a ____________ colored dress.
Is there a zipper on the dress? ______________
Her shoes are ____________ and they have a ____________ on them.
Does she have fake lashes on ___________
She is wearing _______________ color lipstick
Is sarah wearing hair extensions today ________
..Pretty much questions about what your wearing, hair make up etc.
I thought it was pretty creative and fun, and it got all the ladies at tables talking. The best game of the shower was 100% whats in your purse… I won a zebra print umbrella! because out of 70 ladies I was the only one who was comfortable enough to admit I had a tampon in my purse lol

+1 We played this at my shower too and it was hilarious! We were all cracking up because for a while it goes back and forth between one person. http://www.diva-girl-parties-and-stuff.com/right-left-bridal-shower-game.html

I went to a shower a couple years ago where we played “Pin the Junk on the Hunk”… which I’m sure you can all imagine was hilarious! It worked well because there weren’t any kids there, and everyone had a great time with it.

We played one called “what’s in your purse” with prizes.

I’ve been to so many showers and a lot of the games are always repeated but some stood out at unique showers, a few fun ones I played were:
1) Famous couples (Ice breaker game) : (This one works better if you have lots of guests) Basically everyone got a name (from a famous couple) pinned on the back of them. The object of the game is to find out who you are by only asking one question to other people playing and then once you find out who you are you have to find your “other half” first couple to find each other wins.
2) Everyone at the beginning of the shower receives a fake engagement ring (you can buy these at walmart or Michaels). Through the shower you cannot cross your legs or refer to the bride by her name (must refer to her as “the bride”) if you do and if someone catches you, they can take your ring(s). At the end of the shower who ever collects the most rings wins.
3) Everyone is given craft and scrapbooking paper and tools etc. They are given 10 mins to make a scrapbook memory of a time spent with the bride. The bride then picks the best one and winner.

I liked how my Maid/Matron of Honor made a questionnaire for my guests… Like what am I graduating with, what is the pet name I call my husband, etc…

Toilet paper dress! It sounds stupid, but it’s a hoot.

I had three bridal showers; two with games and one without. I actually preferred the showers with games.
My favorite was answering questions about my soon to be husband (she had sent him the questionnaire to answer). My Maid/Matron of Honor had an enlarged photo of my husband and the most hideous lipstick color imagineable. For every right answer I got to plant a colorful kiss on my DH’s photo. The questions were funny and some were really hard!

Google “who has the groom” game- it took forever to make, but people were laughing in stitches.
I got head pictures of the Groom, every male attendant, Father of Groom, Father of Bride pictures, mixed in with celebrities 🙂

I agree. I don’t enjoy them at all. We’ve tried to come up with creative ways to nix the games and do something much more meaningful at the shower.
