I’m thinking about making jewelry rolls for my bridemaids. I recently borrowed one from my mom for a vacation, and it was so nice. All my girls wear jewelry and like to travel. I’ll find fabrics that suit each of them. I’m on a budget, and I figure if I get the fabric on sale it won’t be very expensive. I’ll tuck a gift card, and possibly a peice of jewelry inside.

Thank you. I’ve actually come up with another idea. I posted about it on another thread.
I came up with the idea of travel bags for my ladies. I posted about it on another thread.
Here’s the link to it ladies. Let me know what you think.

Please be aware of metal allergies. I am actually unfortunately allergic to everything but gold to the point where I cannot even wear pure silver. I will never wear something again if it causes me to get a rash. I wish I could wear sterling silver or costume jewelry.

I did this also! I got them custom clutches off of Etsy that are dressy enough for the wedding but not too dressy so that they can get a lot of use out of it. I got their names stitched inside and chose a different pattern of pewter and white for each girl. I am going to fill them with day of necessities for the wedding (they are pretty roomy). I am thinking I will also get them something else, but I’m not sure yet… probably something more personal that is a reminder of how we met or where I know them from. The clutches were $20 each and I haven’t bought the supplies to fill them yet. (I have six bridesmaids)

Wow, I was definitely not expecting so many awesome tips – you ladies rock!
I starting to think maybe the best route would be to pick up some cute Coach or Juicy Couture clutches and stuff them with some expensive make-up (suited to their colouring) and essentials. I love the idea of getting them super personalized gifts (a sweater or piece of jewellery they’ve been wanting), but I would definitely have to flat out ask them what they want and hope they don’t break the bank, which I’d like to avoid if possible.
All three are really into trendy purses so I think I could pick something cute from Coach and they would be pretty happy. I’m also getting them ivory pashminas to wear the day of, but that won’t be there real gift.

I feel lame because I got a lot of similar gifts, but I didn’t really think much out of the box, not to mention I was on a tight budget since I only work part time being a student and all, but I feel I did good. For wedding wise I got their jewlery and I’m paying for their hair. I also got these awesome zebra hangers, a cute hair piece, and zebra flip flops that they can switch into at the dance. I also got them clutches, little wallet like things that hold band aids and bobby pins in one side and the other can be for their I.D.s or cards. I also got them tumblers (I did get ones that said bridesmaids and now slightly wishing I hadn’t but sure they’ll be used again.) And then I got them good bags that have things to help them get through the day such as lint roller, deoderant, tide to go, chapstick, mints, and a individual bottle of alcohol with a good coressponding mixer (along with other things.) I’m also paying for 2 hotel rooms for the night before the wedding. Then I’m writing them each a note to tell them how special they are to me, and after the wedding I want to get a frame for each of them but haven’t thought that far yet. I did raid the dollar section for many items, and I feel like after reading these posts that I didn’t spoil them as much as I thought, but I spent about $45 each (with seven girls) and on my tight budget.

btw I just read your post & don’t know if you got anything yet, but coach has a coupon out for $100 off of $300.

I had 7 BMs. I agree with thistimearound. With that being said, I got the following things:
Reusable Vera Bradley recycled grocery tote thing (used as gift bag, but was thinking good for beach, or grocery shopping)
Cute sandals ( that they could elect to switch into at the reception if their feet got tired, but I was cool if they wanted to wear something else, or keep on the shoes that they were wearing for ceremony. These could be worn with jeans, or shorts also)
Satin bath robe with initial on it( good photo op for me, plus comfy if the girls don’t already have one, but I wouldn’t use as primary gift, since there is an anterior motive of photo op)
Leather Coach wristlets
Jewelry (earrings/necklace) to match dress, but could easily be reworn with office clothes. Some of the girls have reworn them, too!! ( still wouldnt count this as a gift)
I thought there was something else, but can’t think of what it was :/
