I’m getting my dress next week and I’m so excited! I have an appointment with my seamstress the week after. I’m not sure how I should tell her to bustle it. I know she will probably suggest things, but I just want to get a head start.
What bustle looks best with a fit an flair, or dropped waist? Do you have pictures of before and after? I need all the help I can get… I hate bustles, ugh.
EDIT: I’m not showing my wedding dress on the internet before I get married. So that’s why I don’t have a picture. But my dress has two layes at the bottom if that helps. If not, just imagine the fit/flair or dropped waist. Thanks! 🙂

Mine is an under-bustle.
I don’t have pics of the back though. With my dress, when it’s bustled, you can’t even tell because it tucks into the pick-ups; it just looked like it was made without a train.
Here’s a front angle view of it bustled during my fitting.
Model view of the back:
When I went to my first fitting, the seamstress pinned up my dress in 3 or 4 different bustle style and let me choose.

I have a mermaid/trumpet silhouette dress and I will be doing an underbustle (french bustle). I think the over bustle (American) would lose the silhouette, and think this would be the same case with a fit and flare or dropped waist gown.

@abbyful: Thanks! I think an under bustle will be best for my dress. Because it keeps the integrity of the shape of my dress. I’ll ask my seamstress about this! 🙂

I know I’m not the only bride wearing dropped waist or fit n flair. Do y’all have your bustles yet? What kind please? 🙂
