OK so this will probably sound like a lot of cake… and it probably is! But I am having trouble deciding what cake pop flavors I should go with. The cake pops are our wedding favors so they will be wrapped and guests can presumably take them home or just eat them there. We are also having a cutting cake to serve the wedding party and close family (around 40 servings) and then several cupcake flavors.
Cutting cake: almond cake with raspberry preserve filling and almond buttercream
Cupcakes: almond with almond frosting, lemon with lemon buttercream, strawberry with champagne frosting, devil’s food cake with mocha hazelnut frosting
Our cake baker is very flexible and can do almost any flavor, except she won’t do anything with cream cheese because its dangerous to leave that out all day un-refrigerated. We are having 150 cake pops as favors so what flavors do you think we should go with? And all the same or mix them up?
