I am working on putting together my giftbags for my Destination Wedding guests. I will be having a small guest list so that means I can spend a little bit more. I am thinking of putting a visitors guide, a high end bottle of champagne, chocolates, a note formt he bride and groom, and maybe some postcards and little inexpensive extras in the gift bag.
There will be 2 underage (for drinking) girls in the bridal party. And my father who is a recovering alcoholic. So obvioulsy putting champagne in the giftbag would not be appropriate. What can I substitute?? I don’t want it to be cheap, as the rest of the bags will contain a $45 bottle of champagne. I need suggestions. For reference, I wll be getting married overlooking Lake Tahoe. Any ideas??

sparkling Italian lemonade maybe, or a small wooden tea chest?

@thumpurr: Are they big coffee drinkers? You could do something along those lines….but the tea chest idea is great too!

Perhaps expensive mineral water, expensive tea or coffee (speciality teas and coffee can get pretty pricey- and if you give a small amount, you could include a really nice coffee/tea holder- teavanna or boutique teas).

I prefer not to have alcohol, and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Welch’s Sparkling White Grape Juice. I could drink glass after glass of that stuff (were it not for all of the calories, lol). It’s soooo yummy!

They do sell non-alcoholic bottles of champagne. That will still keep the same feel. Otherwise, I’d go with VOSS water or tea/coffee.

Is there anything local to Lake Tahoe? We did a small gift basket for out of towners in North Carolina and went to a local NC store and filled them with food and drinks local to North Carolina.
