Mints/peppermints, rock candy, off brand chocolate, anything that looks like it could be in a grandparent’s candy dish (except werther’s originals), and I’m allergic to peanuts and almonds. We actually did a sweet n salty buffet instead of a candy bar and it was a huge hit, especially since we did an open bar.

@This Time Round:
So what? People have been having wedding cakes, bars, and seated dinners for years too. Should people quit having those too.

Licorice of any kind! Blech!

I think candy bars can look very elegant and modern. One of my good friends had one and it was a huge hit! It was part of the dessert, but she also had bags and cute ties handy for any guests that wanted to take some candy home.
I would have to say that my least favorite candy is licorice, but that’s just a personal preference.

Generic candy can be pretty gross, I think most people love chocolate! But I personally don’t like candy corn or anything that taste similar, and licorice!

+1 all the way!
I went to a wedding last year where the colour was blue and thus they had an all-blue candy bar. It was mostly off-brand “M&Ms” with that awful chocolate that is like chalk in your mouth, and weirdly flavoured blue gummies. What a waste…I don’t think anyone actually ate more than a piece or two!
