My finger size is 4.5 and my diamond is 1.34. I always wanted a diamond in the 1.3-1.4 range because that’s what I’ve always felt is the perfect size for my finger.

It’ll depend on the cut to determine finger coverage. I have a 3.75 ring finger and a 3.35 (3.02 center stone) cushion cut ring.

If you think it’ll help, I can also provide a pic of a 2 carat round brilliant cut.

This is my ring, it’s a 0.3 round diamond set in rose gold (my finger is a 4.5). It’s very dainty, but I wanted a dainty set and I love it. My wedding band is a plain 1mm rose gold band. My ring also has some hidden side detail:

I have a 1.5 carat equivalent Moissanite in a cushion cut. My ring size is 4.25.

1.1 ct equivalent on 4.75 finger. I definitely think it depends on what she likes! Some women want daintier looking rings while others like bigger stones. You should consider asking her or maybe taking her somewhere to try different stone sizes on to see what suits her!

I havea 2ct equivalent Moissanite on a size 4.5 finger. I thought 1 ct would look greater on me, still do but im glad my fiancé got the 2ct.

An important thing to keep in mind is different shapes will have different spread for the same carat weight. A 0.5ct round vs a 0.5ct cushion or princess cut will have VERY different dimensions.

It’s really going to depend on her preference (does she like large or dainty rings?), where you live (in the US big stones are more common – in Canada and England, for instance, we wear smaller diamonds) and how much she uses her hands (nurses and teachers wash hands a lot, so often don’t like big rings).

In my case, I have a 0.77 carat diamond that looks great on my size 4.5 finger. I also have a 1.09 carat diamond that I think is as big as I would personally go. I already get teased for how big it is.
