Ok. So we decided that I would go off the pill about two weeks after we got married. We were going to wait but we’re both really excited about starting a family and we had been living together for two years already. And it seems that so many of our friends had issues TTC, so we thought we better get on it in case we had any of those issues.
Anyways, I looked at a calendar and it turns out the first few times we had sex after stopping the pill were during my most fertile days (according to the multiple websites I checked). I took one of those early detection tests (First Response) that says it can tell that you’re pregnant 6 days before your missed period. This was about 5 days ago. It was negative. But I still had this thought in the back of my head that kept nagging at me that I really think I’m pregnant. I’m two days late. I took the same brand of pregnancy test this morning, the one that is supposed to show two pink lines if you’re pregnant. There were definitely two lines, but one was much lighter than the other. The instructions on the box said that might happen.
We’re really excited, but I’m holding back a little because I’m worried about a false postive. What causes them?
I took the test this morning before work, which probably wasn’t a good idea! I should have taken it on a Saturday so that I could have gone out to get another one to see if it would turn out positive too!
