The Witches (based on the Ronald Dahl book) – I would bury myself between the couch cushions in terror!
I was also scared of The Little Shop of Horrors – not a kid’s movie, but one of the neighbor kids had it – I would always make my big brother hold a pillow over my face while the plant was eating people, lol.
I watched Bettlejuice and only remember the first 10 minutes but MY GOODNESS it still scares me now. Even when I see a picture of him.
i was scared to watch “IT” the one with the clown…. still am to be honest
The Disney version of Sleeping Beauty used to give me nightmares. Maleficent was one creepy old witch!
Sleeping Beauty when the evil fairy first appears, also Wizard of Oz when the witch first appears with the big boom. I used to hide behind the couch so they couldn’t see me. haha
killer clowns from outer space, night of the living dead, “it”, im gonna get u sucka( toe scene) silence of the lambs, jaws, carnival, chucky, the gremlins…the list goes on and unfortunately I am still afraid of all of those movies 🙁
@kkish3: I had a few movies that scared me!
1. Men In Black (the first one)…it scared me toward the beginning when Edgar got pulled into the hole and his insides were sucked out of his skin, and the alien wore his skin
2. The Mummy – I was SOOOO scared of the tomb beetles that went through the guys boot and into his foot and up into his brain. Scared the daylights out of me!
3. Child’s Play (the Chuckie movies)- for obvious reasons lol
4. Beauty and the Beast – When Belle’s dad got taken away in that black carriage thingy.
5. Dumb and Dumber – for some reason I was so scared of the scene where Harry was pooping his brains out at Mary’s house that I actually ran out of the room crying lol!
I still for the life of me cannot stand seeing a picture of ET. Even writing about it freaks me out. Gremlins used to scare me but I grew out of it thank god. I was very sheltered as a child but I remember not wanting to be afraid of ET anymore so I tried watching it when I was seven and I cried myself to sleep for years after it. Definitely not trying that again. I watched dawn of the dead when I was thirteen and that started a love / hate relationship with zombies. I get sooooo creeped out but I still like watching zombie movies.
ET still scares the hell out of me and a movie called The Fly with Jeff Goldblum. My parents let me stay up and watch it and had nightmares for YEARS. Also, the EX Files terrified me and and about 1000 movies since then.
My boyfriend, now DH, brought me to see Saw 3 (7 years ago) on our first date and I was so scared, I couldn’t even get up to leave the theater. At 17 years old, I moved into the floor of my parents room and slept there with the dog for months. They were not happy to say the least.
To this day, I have nightmares about it and have made him stay up all night watching funny movies and eating ice cream to get it out of my head. He’s very very sorry.
those are scary movies!
