- Wedding: May 2019 - Green Bay, WI
It’s been an on-going debate since I was a kid.
My license says blue eyes. Someone one serenaded me with the song “brown-eyed girl” at a wedding once (it was dark and apparently my eyes looked dark). When I wear green they look green. When I wear teal/turquoise they look teal/turquoise. When I wear blue they look blue. When wearing neutral colors in natural light they just look grey.
Does anyone else have eyes this color? Is grey-blue the right color to say…? Very curious to what you guys think!
These photos were taken in natural, outdoor lighting and have not been altered in photoshop or with any other filter/app.
However, I do have clear, vision-corrective contacts in (you can see the edge of them in these photos if you look at the whites of my eyes.)

I would deifnietely say they are blue-grey with some gold/brown flecks, blue for simplicity sake.
Anyone that thinks your eyes are brown must’ve been drunk lol.

Definitely not brown or green. I think blue/blue gray would fit. Beautiful eyes!

I think they are grey. Found this description online:
Gray eyes may be called “blue” at first glance, but they tend to have flecks of gold and brown. And they may appear to “change color” from gray to blue to green depending on clothing, lighting, and mood (which may change the size of the pupil, compressing the colors of the iris).

They would count as blue to me. But lots of blue-eyed people have eyes that seem to “change” depending on what color they are wearing.

Blue, denim blue, but technically blue n brown at once means they’re hazel. Lol.

For sure it’s under the blue colorf family. But to be more specific, I agree it’s grayish-blue. britgotherstud :

Mine are almost identical to yours. They can be called Blue-Hazel or Pacific Blue. (like the ocean)

I have very similar coloured eyes (as do both my parents). We’ve always referred to our eye colour as blue-grey.
I guess the other thing to remember is that from a biological perspective, blue, green, and grey eyes are all the same. It is mainly those ‘shades’ vs shades of brown.

Blue-grey. Mine are very similar and they also change from blue to green depending on what I’m wearing.

If you asked me to describe your eye color in one word, I would say blue. My brother has blue eyes, and they seem to change depending on the season. In the spring and summer, they look very blue. In the winter, they look gray. Blue eyes can change tint depending on their surroundings, I guess.

Your eyes are almost exactly like my partners eyes (including the colour change aspect). They have always been refered to as grey or blue-grey. I think they might be blue on his license though.
