@kala_way: !! That’s the same color I have on! I love the Turquoise & Caicos color. Too bad I’m abysmal at doing nails. I have bubbles and scratches like woah (fell asleep while waiting for them to dry, haha).

I’m so bad at being girly.  Everytime I paint my nails I ruin them not too long after.  I’m too impatient to just sit there and let them dry πŸ™

@BookaholicBee: I just bought this stuff by Revlon called “Liquid quick dry” and it’s amazing.  one coat of color, one coat of the stuff, and they’re dry.  I paid just about 4 dollars for it, totally worth it.

Wow you ladies seriously put me to shame. 95% of the time my nails are bare, maybe I jazz it up with some clear polish. I more do my toes than my hands. I’ve been missing out obviously.

@BookaholicBee: I am SO the same!!!! Even when I get them professionally done I still manage to kill them. I lashed out yesterday and spent a fair bit on all sorts of OPI products including base and top coats, this chip skip stuff and some rapid dry spray and a pack of their top 10 best selling colours. My nails look awesome! AND it’s been nearly 24 hours and they haven’t been ruined!!!!!

It may have cost me the amount of 2 professional french manicures but TOTALLY worth it.

It also gives me a good waiting distraction πŸ™‚

Currently wearing OPI Tickle My-Francy (not my picture)

@Novella – lol, woohoo pretty nails! I know what you mean about getting them professionally done.  I’ve only got them done twice professionally.  In August before we made our big move my Fiance got me this awesome half day spa package and nails were included. I was so excited because I felt like I could finally be girly and have awesome nails.  I did well until I got into my car and ruined them. I was so bummed! At least my toe nails were ok πŸ™‚

So after reading this thread, I went out and got Lady Like by Essie… love it!  I think I may wear this color indefinitely so I have it on when I get engaged, I love it so!

This thread is bad for me! I keep repainting my nails because I’m so excited about them now! I even picked up two new colours today! I’ve been glitter obsessed lately. Usually I shy away from glitter, but for some reason I can’t help myself! The glitter over a darker polish really does help disguse little chips.

I just did my toes in Opi Black Onyx with Icing’s Pumpkin overtop. It’s very Halloween-y!

(Pumpkin is the orange on the left).

I also added Icing’s At Dusk over my Sinful Colors Mercury Rising (above).

Below is a dark crimson-burgandy color from China Glaze named “Ravishing, Dahling” I love, love, love China Glaze!  Super high shine and it’s so pigmented!  One suggestion, ladies, “wrap” your nails when you paint them and your polish will last sooo much longer!  I love wearing dark nails for fall, but often have issues with chipping.  Wrapping the polish around the nail tip to the underside helps keep your color chip-resistant!
