There is no real Etiquette on how to do this… if that is your Question.

According to the Post Institute, and Peggy Post’s *Wedding Etiquette*

A Boutonniere, worn by the Groom and his Attendants on their left lapels, makes for a festive and unstated grace note to the men’s attire.  Understated, and small scale are the key words:  The Groom and his Groomsmen should never appear to be wearing corsages.  A Boutonniere may be any flower, but it should be a hardy variety that won’t wilt or crush easily.  Usually, the Groom wears a flower that is also used in his Bride’s Bouquet, and Groomsmen wear a Boutonniere that complements that of the Groom.  A small-scale white or ivory rose, lily of the valley, stephanotis, or freesia is equally elegant and understated and may or may not be wired with greens.

It is traditional for Fathers, StepFathers, Mothers, and StepMothers to receive Boutonnieres or Corsages for the Wedding Ceremony.  In addition, the Bride and Groom may want to give flowers to GrandMothers, GrandFathers, GodMothers, GodFathers, or any other significant people in their lives.

If you want to surprise people with flowers and don’t know what they will be wearing, white or ivory are safe choices.  Wrist or purse corsages are also a smart idea for the women on your list, since they may be wearing something that they don’t want pinned or that a shoulder corsage would not complement.

So as you can see, the doors are open on this topic… you can give whatever you feel is appropriate either to complement the person’s attire, or others in your Wedding Party (or the Wedding Colours)… or in the case of the FOB / FOG something that corresponds / complements the colours that their children are wearing.

I know I haven’t answered your specific Question, but I hope this info helps (somewhat),

I haveing my Groom wear purple rose with green, groomsmen green roses, and my father, Father-In-Law, and FSFIL, as well as my godfather are all wearing purple roses without the green.
