So I just got my dress!!!! It is nothing like my original vision…I thought I wanted a white, lace, strapless, no beading, mermaid gown and I ended up with a champagne, satin, strapped, beaded trumpet! I aboslutely love it but am not sure what colors will work for bridesmaids and color scheme in general. We are doing a Gatsby inspired garden party. Thoughts?
Here is my dress!

What are your colors?

Originally we were going to do a very light pink pastel theme but none of the color swatches work with the dress 🙁

Adrianna Papell has dresses that will work with your dress and your theme. Your bridesmaids can also fine them on sale at Nordstrom Rack, Amazon, Tradesy, etc
Gold or champagne would look great.
Blue would also be amazing
You’d have to check it out in person but her pink might work because the beading is taupe.

While we usually associate dresses from the 1920s with heavily beaded gowns – which are truly beautiful – people from that decade also had a fascination with Oriental design. This fascination had a very strong influence and expressed itself in everything, from fashion to decor. Predominant colors were jewel-toned, with intricate embroidery. I think that taking a cue from this would be particularly appropriate for a garden party atmosphere, and it would be a more memorable interpretation of the 1920s. Additionally, the silhouette of the dress I suggest is very similar to your dress’s silhouette.
