We’re moving Friday and I’ve picked out paint for every room except the guest room and bathrooms. Fiance gave me the greenlight on a pink and black bathroom but then I realized it just wouldn’t work becasue there’s a lot of wood trim in the bathroom and I don’t like black and brown together. So I found this shower curtain http://www.target.com/p/tree-shower-curtain-and-shower-hook-set-brown/-/A-10731587 I really like it but I’m stuck with what color to paint it. Our room is going to be a light brownish color so I wouldn’t mind a pop of color in th ebathroom but I can’t pick one. I’m already going to have green and blue in the house so I don’t want to have a repeat of a color. Any suggestions?

@ShutterbugCait: You could do a shade of purple

don’t get ahead of yourself. before picking the exact colour and shade of paint, you may want to find out how much natural light comes into the room first, or how dark a room is.
i always like to live in a room first to get a feel for it before making colour and tone decisions.
there’s nothing wrong with having an idea of what you like and how you want it to look but sometimes it doesn’t always work for the intended room.

@mypinkshoes: I wish I could do that lol. My mind is constantly going and I must always be planning. We’ve been to the house a few times at different times of the day and the landlord knows all the colors and is only going to ask us to paint over one room when we leave (unless we end up buying). I know I do want to stay on the lighter side of colors for the bathroom because dark brown will be prominent in accessories and trim.

Personally I like a warmer shade in the bathroom, it’s more flatterring for putting on makeup, and being naked 😛 I’d go with a warm beigey-sandy-pink. It will look nice with the wood tones too.
