I’m not sure what color flowers to go with. The wedding colors are brown (chocolate) and blue (more of a robins egg blue). All white or cream flowers? I love red flowers but think that may clash too much. Has anyone else had similar colors and if so what flowers did you choose?

what is the style of your wedding? if you incorprate red it could look really good! you could also have some non floral elements like those spiral things that look so cool and are brown.

I think white/cream woudl look lovely, as would other colors of blue, or really just about anything. The great thing about brown is that it’s a neutral. I don’t think you could pick flowers that WOULDN’T look good with brown. And the blue could look nice with anything, although I’d consider tones and shades–tiffany blue with stop-sign red roses would be a little much for me, but it would look great with some darker muted fall reds.

Maybe you could have a few reds to accent? Personally, I think anything is possible with the right combination. Try different textures, sizes, shades, etc. 🙂

Here are some picture with pink accents and red accents. Can give you some ideas of how the colors would look. There is no brown but you can get the point! 🙂

What about antique hydrangeas?
Or this is pretty too. I think these are just regular blue hydranges and I assume white roses and calla lilies:

I would say a green would work. But and Orange Red would stand out against either blue or brown so nicely.

I think ivory would be very elegant and would go well with your color scheme.

The white/off white flowers would really make your wedding colors pop. But if you really wanted color throwing some pinks (any shade) would compliment w/o clashing.

I love a poppy red accent with robin’s egg blue (like the pictures above)…Martha Stewart ran a piece with those colors a bunch of issues ago…coupled with brown (which is a neutral and therefore will go with anything), I think it’ll look great!

Hey, we have the same colors! We decided to go with blue hydrangeas and white roses, hydrangeas, and carnations for the majority of our flowers. I think our main altar pieces will also have some (light-colored!) lavendar and blue delphinium in them. I don’t have any pictures yet, but I will in about a month!

I am doing brown and turquoise, and we decided to use yellow flowers with white and turquoise. Probably more towards a sunflower yellow color than a pastel.

Blue and red work really well together because they are both primary colors on the color wheel…. and depending on what time of year your doing it you might want to add a little yellow in there to to really help brighten everything up!
But I also think you need to add in another neutral whether that is white or cream just to help lighten the pallet and white is easier to find in flowers than brown!
Have fun planning!
