I chose ivory. I told by my bridal consultant that my dress, which is all lace, would look best in that color. I also liked the way ivory looked on me best, but liked the way white looked also. So I guess I did it for both reasons 🙂

Technically my dress is “white” but it’s made of silk satin and natural silk will never be a true true white so white is more of an ivory color in silk.

I loved the way the color of the sample looked on my skin and the way the dress looked in that warmer color.

I chose ivory. It looks so much better with my skin tone and hair than bright white. But I knew before I even started looking that’s the color I wanted.

Ivory because the only other colour option was a white which was very harsh and cool. Also, white doesn’t photograph as well. I really really wanted a pink dress, though.

Champagne for both reasons 🙂 The dress looked better in it, and that color looked better on me!

Off White or light ivory, the lace just stands out better in off white, I personally preferred a brighter white but it’s still white looking to most people.

Ivory – since my dress was the only one I liked from running of the brides.  Most of the dresses at ROTB were non-white anyway… I love the color on me though!

Mine is ivory with a champagne/pinkish sash and bow (empire style)
The beading also makes the bodice look a little “gold”

Mine was ivory.  I looked absolutely ghostly in white white.  The sample was ivory, so I never saw the dress I chose in true white, so I have no idea if it would have looked nicer…

I’m one of the few brides who chose white! For some reason, the ivory totally washed me out and looked very dingy, while the white looked really clean and fresh and popped against my skin. When I went back to purchase my dress after previously trying it on and deciding on the white, the salon manager couldn’t believe me when I said the ivory washed me out. She even put me back into both an ivory dress and a white dress to check. She couldn’t believe it, but she definitely agreed with me that white was the right choice!

My dress is ivory. When I tried on the sample I THOUGHT it was white! I was about to order the dress in white when my consultant told me the dress I tried on was ivory. I asked if she had another sample gown in white and she brought it out for me to see and I’m SO glad I saw the white before I ordered the dress. The beading against the white dress just didn’t look right. The beading almost looked grey. It looked so much better against the ivory color so I ordered my dress in ivory. You would think it was white though if you saw it.

I wanted a natural white dress (it’s the best for my skin tone) but my dress only came in ivory and something they call stone. The sample was in stone and it was a horribly unflattering putty color; it was so bad the store was trying to get the designer to give them a sample in ivory because they were afraid no one would buy the dress.
