Hi. I’m trying to figure out what colors to use in my wedding . The wedding is in october.. but im not liking any of the oranges or yellows enough to use them. My original idea was to use rasberry pink but now i’m like merlot (purple instead) im not sure if the merlot and pink would go together especially bc its a fall wedding …. help please!!!
thank you! =)

I used an eggplant purple and orange and wow…did the colors ever pop.
What about a merlot and deep red? Will your wedding be outside?

I think Overrall whatever colors you really love and want to use you should!!! It’s your day and if you love those colors togehter then go for it!!! I love the Merlot color especially for the fall i found this picture that has the purple and like the pinkish flowers and I think it looks amazing! 🙂

We are doing a dark eggplant purple, pumpkin-y orange, and charcoal. We are going to have a deep cranberry color in there a bit too….
Personally – I think all Dark jewel tones are very fall — you could do a dark orange, dark pink, and a dark purple…. if you want to have a fall theme in there. I think you can use the same deep hues and it would be great!

I like the maroon and deep red idea! I didn’t pay attention to months when I planned mine (maybe bc I’m in South Florida and we don’t really have any seasons other than summer and Hurrican Season?)
But, I see where you’re coming from. Still love the idea of maroon and deep red, throw a splash of pink in there. 🙂 fact is, all October wedding don’t need to have orange and yellow in it. Good luck!

I think purple and pink will look great together! I’m having a September wedding, and I hate that all the magazines seem to think if you’re having a wedding in fall it absolutely has to be fall-themed. 😛

I think that red and purple (depending on which shades) are lovely. A deep merlot and eggplant sounds delightful to me.
AND, speaking of fall, if your wedding is outside and you live on the E. Coast, deep merlot and eggplant against all those fall leaves would look gorgeous.

I absolutely love jewel tones so I think your ideas will work out wonderfully. I wanted them for my own wedding, but since I’m getting married in April I toned it down with light grey suits for the men and other lighter accents.
I think merlot/eggplant and raspberry/pink/or cranberry can make a lovely combo which other colors you decide to use. All the jewel tones mix together nicely.
Here is some inspiration for the colors you already mentioned 🙂

I think it will be pretty! The pictures the bees posted look really nice, and I feel like they’re dark enough for fall.
Although we had a winter wedding (end of Feb. but in Fl I thought it would warm up enough to seem like spring, it didn’t) and I used all spring colors. Pick something you love, b/c if you don’t, you’ll just keep changing it which is a pain in the tush!
