I will always vote anything other than yellow simply because I hate yellow.  But, i do also think it would look better with the diamond.

@DrAtkins:  I have a light brown diamond two tone ring and had this same question. I ended up comparing the loose stone to other rings I had in different colors of gold, and then choosing yellow gold for the bezel. (The stone actually looked best in platinum, but I wasn’t going to invest in that much for this fun piece.) Before doing thr comparison I thought I would pick rose gold, but it seemed to make the stone more congnac, when I was going for a more of a pale/tan color. This might have also been because the rose gold at the jeweler I use (he also made the reference RG ring) is fairly coppery. I’ve seen some pinker-leaning rose golds that I think would have looked lovely.

    Hope this was helpful!

Ah…a pinky brown. I’d be curious to see it in rose gold.

I have a halo style with a champagne diamond and I think that color diamond looks good in all the metals, so I’m not super helpful here☺️ I also love a rose gold bezel. I can’t wait to see what you decide. I will share a pic of mine with outdoor lighting and indoor. It changes based on the lighting!

@DrAtkins:  from the looks of the pic I say yellow off hand but pics can be deceiving. I say wait to get it in your hands and see what the undertone of the diamond is before deciding! Keep us posted!

@DrAtkins:  We’ll always support your ring obsession herewith! 😊 Ohhh, I think rose gold could be so pretty. Here’s a pic I snatched from online with a champagne diamond in a rose gold setting

@Nat82:  I was just coming in to suggest OP look at the mocha gold, but couldn’t remember where I’d seen it!

You could mix the two and do a champagne gold.  I have seen it with companies likes True Gem and I know David Klass has done it before.

Keep us updated on this project, sounds like it will be beautiful! The fancy colored diamonds are really growing on me lately, especially the light yellow and brown colors. I’ve been looking around at low color grade diamonds (M-Z) to try to achieve the look at a cheaper price, but haven’t seen how they compare in person yet. It’s probably best if I don’t know. 😅
