Yellow gold. I think I just like it because my parents had yellow gold. Also, I have light olive skin so yellow gold looks best on me.
White gold. I find yellow gold underwhelming on me. But I love it on others…
White. It’s sterling silver plated with rhodium.
I currently rock white gold. I don’t like that my rings need to be redipped yearly (I am super hard on my hands and keep my wedding band on for all tasks). I have considered resetting it in yellow gold, but I just love the pink against the silver….opinions?
14k white gold. I like the way white gold develops a bit of a fade/patina over time. I don’t intend on having it re-dipped, especially with my antique reproduction setting.
Mine is 9ct yellow. And my wedding band is as well, I can’t wait to be able to wear it.
Mine is actually white gold but I’ve had it plated with rose gold. I may take the plating off and plate it in yellow gold instead. I thought I would like rose gold more but yellow is winning me over 🙂
My set is/will be mixed (bought the band but can’t officially wear it for another three months!). I love the mixed metals, but it’s actually not by choice! My e-ring is an estate piece, with a yellow gold filigree band and a white gold, floral engraved face. I could have gone either way when choosing the band (or heck, why not add rose gold too?) but I’ve always loved classic yellow gold. When I found a vintage curved band that fit perfectly and matched the engraving on my e-ring, I knew it was meant to be!
I tried to take a picture at an angle that would show both the yellow gold of the band and the white gold of the face, sorry if it comes out huge!
jcent: Re-set in white metal? Nooooooooooo 😉 Your rose gold is to die for!! But then again, I love mixed metals, hehe.
My set is platinum, but I really wanted to incorporate rose gold. It turns out I love mismatched stacks with gaps. Here is my creation 😉
