What color is your table/tablecloth? I think having napkins the same color as your hydrangeas wouldn’t be a bad idea.

I think sky blue would be really nice. But if it only comes in that super bright baby blue then I’d go navy.

I think you have plenty of color and I’d go ivory. But I’m not a fan of colored linens. I do think you have plenty of subtle pops of color

VictorianChick :  I’d do gold or pale blue. Both would coordinate without being the focal point of the table. Navy would be pretty, but keep in mind that it may be more intense/draw more attention.

There are virtual tablescape designs that you can do online for free (for real–someone created such a thing, haha). Maybe it can help you envision what your table would look like ๐Ÿ™‚

VictorianChick :  I would go with the navy or at least a French blue to add some contrast

Ivory = free. You can add pops of color with something else.

Advice that I was given was if you are spending the money and can only choose between a table runner and napkins, choose the table runner because it will remain on the table the whole night while the napkins will end up in people’s laps and then will no longer be part of the decor after. If you have the budget and aren’t interested in a runner in a color (or at all) then the blue napkin would look nice, but you definitely wouldn’t need it if you wanted to save the money. I personally would add a pop of color somewhere (runner or napkin) but would try to find a lighter muted blue to keep with your theme.

I agree — ivory=free. Pop that color somewhere else! A ribbon? Napkin ring?

I agree with others that are saying you can add a pop of color using something else BUT, napkins are typically only $1 each. Runners, napkin rings, etc are going to cost more than that for the same effect. If you aren’t doing chargers, I think they’ll be a great touch to your tables. I actually really like the light blue napkins that pinkprincess posted too ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜.

VictorianChick :  Well, like I said….since you aren’t doing chargers, the napkins are honestly the cheapest route to add a pop of color to your tables ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ
