I want to give all my bridesmaids pashminas they can wear with their dresses. Both to keep them warm if it gets cold and as part of their gift.
They are wearing this dress:
And my color palette for the wedding is this:
The table setting on the bottom left is my actual table setting. There will also be punches of green iridescent on the cocktail hour tables.
Pashmina colors are here:
Which do you like best? I’m leaning towards firecracker, clementine, or clover.
What are your thoughts?

I like firecracker. It is feminine.

I like the firecracker the best although all the colors are beautiful

@mandb122: That’s why I’m having hard time. There are SO many pretty colors! I could get them all different ones, but I’m not sure how that would look. They probably wouldn’t wear them for the ceremony (unless it’s really cold), just the reception.
I also originally asked them all to pick their own dresses in the same color/fabric but they all picked the same one! Wasn’t going for uniformity, but I got it. So I don’t need them to all look the same.

i would get the most use out of clover post-wedding. firecracker is really pretty, i just wouldn’t be able to get much use out of it.

@KatNYC2011:I have the same colors for my wedding! I voted clementine because it goes with the theme. Then I realized I am usuing shawls too and I voted against orange shawls myself because most everybody wouldn’t use it again. So instead I am getting green since there will be so much orange in the flowers already. Anyway, I change my vote to clover 🙂

That’s a good point about use afterward. I’ll have to think about the colors they’d use most.
I logged my vote for clover so your change of mind is reflected in the poll.

can i make a suggestion? your profile says you live in NYC – head down to a street vendor and pick up a few pashminas from them! they are like $5/piece instead of $30 through dessy… and the quality is good. I’ve bought several pashminas from street vendors and they are some of my favorite ones.
that being said – i love the color of the firecracker pashmina 🙂

@cassedy04: I may end up picking them up from another vendor (that’s a great idea). Just need to make a run down to canal street or the garment district, but not in today’s snowstorm!
My Future Mother-In-Law also knows someone who will make beautiful silk shawls in any color if you provide her a swatch, so that might be a nice idea also.

I vote firecracker. I love the color and would use it a lot post-wedding, plus it really goes with your theme. The orange one just reminds me of the Broncos… sorry. 🙂 And the green is gorgeous but it doesn’t seem to fit in with your theme as well.

@CorgiTales: Haha @ the broncos. I actually had someone “jokingly” ask me why I was having a bronco colored wedding. Although my dad likes to think of it as a UVA colored wedding.

I would use clover most post-wedding. I think clementine goes with your colors best. Firecracker is kind of in the middle–close to your colors and slightly more usable post-wed than clementine. hard one

Haha, I’m so boring…I would probably go with the Venetian Gold. It’s a neutral that is a little more special, so it won’t look to matchy, and your girls would probably use them often. What are the groomsmen wearing?
@katiedee: Groomsmen are wearing darker tan suits with orange ties and orange bouts.
BMs will be wearing silver shoes, so I don’t know that a gold shawl would work with silver shoes.

Do they all live in NYC? I only ask because I see a lot of ladies on the train with their shawls and they come in ALL different colors. So if you are looking at ‘utility post wedding’ that shouldn’t factor in . An NYC lady will rock any color 🙂
