- Wedding: August 2011
My venue is not too colorful..its outside in California in the summer so we are expecting lots of brown-ish scenery. The floor at the venue is concrete. I am trying to choose very bright colors for the wedding to give everything a cheery feeling.
The venue comes with a white floor length tablecloth and we will be purchasing an organza table overlay. The two colors I am considering are royal and navy blue.
I am worried that the navy might look too dull. I worried that royal blue might blend in with or look washed out because of the bridesmaid dresses (described below). My gut says go with navy. Please let me know your thoughts! Also, does anyone have an opinion between regular organza, seamless organza, and crystal organza? It is hard for me to tell how big the difference is since we are planning to order online.
The bridesmaids are wearing strapless dresses in horizon (royal blue) by DB with a navy blue sash tied around the waist. Here are some examples of the horizon color: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Browse_Bridal-Party-Bridesmaids-Shop-By-Color?&colorName=Horizon
They are also wearing white shoes and white necklaces, and will have either a white or navy blue bow tied around their boquet (I’m happy for your input on this). We have not decided on the boquet colors yet–I am picturing yellow, medium blue, dark blue, and hot pink flowers like daisies, delphinium, and alstromeria. Again I am worried that the dark blue might be too dark, but I also think it might really help the bright colors stand out.
Thanks for your help!
