@Mrs. Parasol: I love white. I have chosen white too..It was stunning on my skin tone which is similar . I love how it stands out in photos too…You look beautiful..x
@weddingbound: I really thought yours was white.I was surprised when you said it was ivory.I am now learning the different shades…I have a headache lol
@weddingbound: You sure made a great choice. You looked gorgeous. I am trying to decide now between white and ivory but I found an article which said I should not pick ivory, or cream. My skin is quite olive( but tend to stay out of the sun,so a pale olive tone ), I have chocolate brown( bottled. It is normally dark blond), and have grey/green eyes. I suit some cooler tones and some warmer….I tried on white, loved it but now I am second guessing.
@Kimy: I have found it all depends on the dress designer each have different shades of white, ivory. Also depends on if you are getting satin, lace or organza. I have found that a lot of organza whites and lace white are softer than say satin whites…..that is another thing to take into consideration. I would keep options open for both right now until you pick a dress and then you can study up on the designer. Also diamond white is such a great color as well bc its kinda in the middle betw white and ivory but not all designers offer diamond white.
I originally got a clam white dress… something between ivory and white I guess. Personally I always thought all wedding dresses look the same, and that for some reason they look so cheap if they are pure white (and mine was close to that haha). I didn’t want to go with a crazy color and look like a guest, so I had it altered applying a big enbroidered branch with magnolia flowers applique that goes from my chest to my back on the left side of the dress. It made my dress SO much better (I think!) 🙂
