Help! I have finally decided to go with ivory for my wedding gown, but now I can’t decide which colors to have the bridesmaids wear! I originally wanted champagne, but now I am afraid that it will bring out the “yellow” in the ivory gown. And I don’t want any color that is going to make my dress look dirty if they stand next to me!

@BethG13: My dress is ivory, and my Maid/Matron of Honor is wearing black. This gets a lot of contradiction. But I love the look of black and ivory. I find it very classic, elegant, and timeless. Do you have wedding colors picked out yet?

I think most colors work with ivory, especially dark/vivid ones 🙂 My dress is ivory and my bridesmaids are wearing maroon (David’s Bridal Wine color) and I think they look gorgeous together.

I’m planning on wearing ivory, and FI’s suit is navy blue with a bright blue shirt. I steered him away from white…

Ivory and champagne look amazing. My FH’s waistcoat is ivory with a champagne swirl. Looks great.

@BethG13: I think champagne looks lovely, I’d stick with it. What’s your colour scheme – just ivory and champagne or another colour too?

@BethG13: I think any color would go with Ivory, I would worry about that more if your dress had more of a yellow tint to it
My dress was Ivory and my BM’s wore Kelly/Emerald green

Most colors will go with ivory- purple, green, black, etc.
I would steer clear of blush and champagne.
