I’ve been searching for gray dresses for my BMs and the idea I have in mind is a cement-colored gray along with white and bright green flowers. I am having a hard time finding a gray that isn’t too dark or too light in a dress that I like. I am doing long chiffon dresses. I found a dress I LOVED but I’m not sure if the color is right. Below is a photo of Bill Levkoff in pewter. My question is: does it look sort of blue?

First, I love this dress- I’m PMing you about it. I’ve seen this color called “slate” in a lot of online stores. I think it would look more grey with your green & white colors. If you were doing dusty blue flowers & linens, I think it would look blue.

its looks slate or even a touch on the cornflower side..pewter seems more gray to me and i agree with Zouave

It looks medium grey to me. Maybe you need to be looking for a platinum color? Each designer has so many color names, it’s baffling!

It’s definitely got a tint of blue, slate seems close. But it’s such a beautiful dress!!! 🙂

Maybe it’s my computer monitor, but it looks pretty grey with just a bit of blue. I love it!

It’s a gorgeous dress, definitely a medium kind of slate grey with blue undertones (:

My mom and sister (the one in the photo) both thought it looked gray, but I just wanted a second opinion. I wasn’t going for this type of gray, and I really hate that its not the color I wanted because the dresses is beautiful and my sister will be really upset if I don’t pick it. Definitely have some thinking to do!

The top half in the shadow looks gray. while the bottom in the light looks blue. I don’t see lavender there at all. Gorgeous dress!
If your bridesmaids love it, then go for it.

Bridal stores will call it Lavender. I was also looking at the exact same dress for my BM’s and it was that exact color. It looks more Gray, but the swatch name is lavender.

On my screen it looks pewter [grey]. Do you have color swatches because seeing it in person is about the only way to be sure if its the right shade that you like
