I have this same photo saved on my phone! I would call it natural red or auburn. I love it too! I plan to start working my way to this color after the wedding. Going to start out going kind of strawberry blonde since I am a natural blonde. I don’t wanna go all the way then not like it On me.

but it sure looks beautiful on her!

Lydia2013:  I’ve gone dark before. I’ve had super dark brown, reddish brown, RED red with like purplish highlights (looks a lot better than it sounds).

Im just so into changing my hair color and picky about the color I wanna make sure I ease into it instead of jumping in like it did with my red hair in the past. I only kept it for about a month or two then went back blonde. Which is a terrible process..

Lydia2013:   l’oreal superior preference 67 light auburn

My natural colour is a ashy blond colour so the result is pretty much the same as the model you posted. If you have a darker colour the salon may need to lighten you to get to that same level of colour. I once stupidly dyed my hair dark brown and it took fading it + a few salon trips before I could get the colour back to the same lightness level.

I even like the way the colour fades out, it turns a bit more gingery, but always looks natural (I’m pale so that helps)

Here’s a few shots of how my hair looks dyed that colour I listed above

I’ve always been happier with the colour from that box dye than with the salon results because its the exact shade I want and the salon always felt off to me, your hair looks light enough for it from the photo.

I’m actually in the process of going blonde, but that was my hair colour from high school, through university.. and five years into working so I had it for a loooong time. I’ll probably go back to it for my wedding (despite the fact that going blonde is getting pretty pricey because of multiple visitings to add more and more blonde highlights)

My hair is a little darker than this (dark auburn) in the summer time.

Lydia2013:  everyone you ask will have a different name for it – hair colours aren’t so cut and dry as to have “official names.” The best thing to do is still to just show the stylist the photo – the name really won’t mean anything to her/him anyways. For example, I’m a colour specialist myself, and in the colour line that I use (goldwell), the shade I’d formulate for you would be a combination of 6K, 6KG, and maybe a little 7KG. Our colours don’t have pretty names like most people assume – I don’t run in the back and grab a tube of “light copper auburn” – I find the level and then select the proper tones. 🙂

That said, I’ve been colouring my hair a similar (although slightly brighter) shade for years and years, and I’d call it a medium natural copper.
