I think a light purple might look a bit odd, but a nice, deep, rich purple color would look amazing against a champagne wedding dress! 🙂

I actually prefer a lighter purple, rather than a dark, with a champagne color, I think it has a vintage feel that is lovely…I really like the color of the flowers you showed and I’m not really that “into” purple, so my vote would be for a lilac or lighter shade…

I like dark plum purples or a more deeper royal purple.  I feel like the lighter purples look more baby-ish.  And I think deep purples and gold tones, like champagne, look so regal and elegant.

wow is that your dress? Stunning. Got any more pics of it? I’m a purple girl… I used eggplant in my wedding. I think either shade of purple would be great. If you are having a more formal wedding, i’d definitely steer toward a darker shade.

Purple (light or dark – depending on the tone) and champagne will work great together!  However, I’m biased as purple is my main wedding colour as well.  I’m not even committing to a shade I love it that much!  Go for it Smile

why not have your three colors be champagne, dark purple, and a lighter purple. I am in agreement that the dark purple would look good with the champagne color but at the same time I do not think light purple would look bad as an accent color 🙂

I *LOVE* plum & champagne together! My BM’s are wearing black dresses, but I think I’m doing plum & champagne with it.

dark and not roses. you have enough roses going on in your dress. you don’t want the bouquet and the dress to be having a conversation. too much going on if you get my drift.
