I’m getting stressed out because my venue is super colorful, and I don’t know what to go with for my wedding colors. Here’s some picture of the dining room and the dancing area (it’s attached to the dining room with french doors). What colors would you use? Weather permitting, the cermony would be outside (last picture), and in case of rain, would be held in the dancing area.

I think green would be cute and would “go” with both rooms.

The pictures make your venue look really neutral! No heavily patterned carpet or chintzy looking chairs. The possibilities are endless! It may have some splashes of color, but it is really a blank canvas!

I think green would be good. Also champagne or silver might look really pretty too. What about simple black dresses with white or ivory accents?

@snmcdowell – yeah, green is a thought. thanks! what color flowers would you do with that? I was hoping to do 2 colors so the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and flowers would be different colors.
Also, here are the pictures that didn’t load last time. Hopefully they work now!

The new martha steward weddings has a whole section on a honey and wheat color palette. It could totally work in that space. The simple elegance of her color palette paired with the venue…. check it out. Plus there’s tons more ‘perfect palettes’ to look at on her website.

I agree about green… I’m thinking an emerald shade. And I might go with pink or purple flowers, in a softer tone.

Ah, sorry for the post again, I’m having a lot of trouble with these pictures. Is there a way to remove duplicates?

I don’t really have any ideas on colors but I had to post because that venue is GORGEOUS. I mean, wow. I absolutely love my venue but I’m kind of having a venue envy moment right now. Where is that if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve already booked mine so I won’t steal, I promise 🙂

The room is warm, so I think sticking to natural warm colors would be nice. Like a warm red & warm orange, natural greens & creams. No artifical/bright colors like apple green & fuchsia 🙂

@Kittyachi – Aw, thanks so much!! I just PMed you.
@AnnieAAA – I agree, I think warms/naturals would be good… when you say red and orange, did you mean together? I’m really intrigued by this, it sounds nice. What shades would you do?
Okay, so I left this kind of open to see what people thought without influencing them, but now I think I should elaborate a little. I originally wanted to do orange flowers for the Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets and the table centerpieces – I just love bright, sunny flowers. But then I wasn’t sure what color to do for Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. I want to pick a figure flattering color, so I initially thought dark blue, but I don’t think that will work with this venue… I also want the colors to still have a summery feel, yet fit in with the venue decor. Ahhh!
I also just saw this palette of marigold and pewter on Martha Stewart (thanks mcnetn3!) http://www.marthastewartweddings.com/photogallery/perfect-palettes?&lpgStart=1¤tslide=10¤tChapter=3#ms-global-breadcrumbs Would something like that work?
I’m probably going to use my colors sparingly – just in the centerpieces, Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses, and bouquets – since there’s already so much color in the rest of the venue. Thoughts?
Thanks so much!

Beautiful venue. With the chairs/mirrors I get a moroccan feel. I would have hot pink/red/orange flowers and play up that flair. Maybe a champagne, yellow, or green bridesmaid dresses.

Hey, that’s my venue, too! How exciting! I guess we’re venue twins…
Our wedding is March 27th. My fiance is Chinese, and red is a very popular color in Chinese culture, especially at happy occasions like weddings. My bridesmaids dresses are an apple red, and I was thinking of going with a cream tablecloth and a deep red napkin, and I’m pretty sure we’re going to be using bamboo stalks for our centerpieces.
I think the colors in those rooms — and in the whole house, really — are so rich that adding equally vibrant colors to it is going to make it very “heavy.” Look how beautiful that table is set with all white, and the room still looks rich and vibrant.

Again beautiful venue! I’d go with pinks and greens and blues.
Like this colorscheme.
And I also loved the hanging lighted lanterns in the second picture! Very pretty!

What a gorgeous venue. I would go with greens and purples.
