Finally getting married 2/2/13 after 8 years and 2 kids! You would think I would have this planned already… but no.
I love the rustic thing. We love country music and Texas so it fits, but I see it EVERYWHERE. I love the burlap and lace and mason jars. Everything will be DIY regardless which one I go with!
I also have always loved the Navy and light pink theme. I love the classic prep it has to it. I like that it can also symbolize “one boy, one girl” which we are and our children also. I am finding it more difficult to put a plan in action for this theme however. Not a lot to choose from or inpiration.

Wow. Congratulations. Sounds like you already have a nice family to make your special day even more meaningful.
I cannot tell you which theme to choose; they all sound amazing and would look beautiful. However, just follow your heart and just GO WITH IT. After you make a decision, everything will just come together and you will have a straight plan to begin with and you will feel much better.
It took me awhile to decide on my theme, but i just went with the one I knew what was truly us (despite what other’s might think) and everything else just followed.
Best wishes, good luck and happy planning!

The only thing I can say is to not get too set on deciding what your colors/theme is going to be. Just start shopping! Buy what you like, and slowly you’ll see your theme forming. I started obsessing way too early about this and now, 5 months before our wedding, and I am changing some of our colors and not using some of the things I bought months ago.
One place to start might be to imagine what color you would want your bridesmaids to be in. It can also be really helpful to look at all the inspiration boards that are all over the internet. If you like the rustic thing, there is a lot to look at!
Mostly, just take your time and have fun! 🙂 Congratulations!!

I guess my recommendations would be to find your venue first and then go from there? Once you have the space picked, it might help give you some direction to go with your colors/theme? Fiance and I knew we kind of wanted the classic ballroom with chandeliers/windows thing, so our colors/decorations are going along with that. Hopefully that helps? It sounds like you’ve got some lovely ideas either way!
