So I had my hair / make up trial last night. Turned out ace & happy with how everything is going to look. I’m going to get clip in hair extensions for the day but have 0 experience having never used them at all.
I think I’m going to go to Pauls hair world to get them, but as I have balayage done I don’t know what colour to go for. My natural colour is medium brown and my balayage is an almost blonde/honey kinda colour. Should I go for brown & get bits of balayage done to the extensions or just go for the lighter colour? Or can you get mixtures?
Here’s my hair for reference:

I also have no experience with extensions and just picked mine up yesterday.
In your case, it’s probably best to ask your stylist what option would be better.
Mixed colors are available. My hair is naturally dark brown and already long…I wanted extensions for the color and volume. I chose the tri-color…
Ends up looking like peekaboo highlights on me…

I think you can ask your hair stylist to color them for you. My hair stylist highlighted them to match what was already on my head.

They should be able to match them up perfectly to blend with your hair. Clip.ins now come in a variety of ombre shades.

Whenever I’ve had extensions I buy them in the closest shade and then take them to my hairdresser who colour matches them and cuts them in to blend with existing layers.
You’d need to color match the lightest sections of your hair as they can dye them darker but not lighter.
