Just as the title says. Her dress will be floor length (whatever ‘floor length’ this dressmaker decides is appropriate for a toddler, so it may or may not be possible to see much of her legs) and is this colour:
I’m just not sure what colour her shoes ought to be. The bridesmaids are in the same purple and will be wearing neutral/beige/nude coloured shoes but it has been (surprisingly!) difficult to find them in toddler sizes. What other shoe colour would go with this purple? Colour options that seem to be more easily accessible include white, black, red, silver or gold. Keeping in mind that the weather will be a bit cooler so I am intending to have her wear stockings/tights (what colour??) which would also need to go well with the whole ensemble. Thanks in advance 🙂

IMO, I would let her wear what ever shoes and tights she wants. If she chooses something she likes she will probably wear them again. The dress is long so so they will not be showing most of the time. I left shoe choices up to my Flower Girl and everything turned out fine.

My BM’s wore this color and they went with silver shoes.
But if you want tights too, I think black tights and black shoes would look better (and she might already have them and would more likely wear them again).

I think little girls look sweet in which tights and white shoes
it will lighten up her dress a bit – I think that black tights & shoes will be way too dark on a toddler …

I voted black shoes but I think metallic (gold/silver) would work too!

Hey, thanks for your input – though I might need to reiterate that this flowergirl is a two year-old so would probably choose to wear a flip-flop on one foot and a gumboot on the other if given the choice! Haha XD
Thanks for the links, much appreciated. I’ll admit I was a bit too chicken to type “nude” (the colour!) and “toddler” in the same sentence anywhere on the internet, but oh bugger it now XD

If you can choose her favorite color, you may have more success. 2-year olds have opinions and don’t always express that at the ideal moment. I happen to have a 2-year old here today and she only wears pink shoes. Period. Anything else is a tantrum.
Her mom recommended ChasingFireflies for shoes. The 2-year old declared ‘want’ to these…:)

Zulily stock does turn over fast, so if you see something you like, buy it. The shoes are very reasonably priced.

I wouldn’t worry too much about a 2 year old flower girl matching the wedding party exactly – and everyone else is right, she might decide that week that only mickey mouse shoes are okay and you’re really just going to have to live with it at that point.
White tights with black patent leather shoes was what I thought before opening the thread – that’s just what little girls wear when they’re dressed up.

That’s a very dark colour for a tiny girl so I’d go with silver or white or anything light ( or silly and funny )

I agree with PP that when I read the title, I immediately imagined a cute little toddler with white tights and black shoes. It seems to be the norm but I’m sure silver would also work too. I wouldn’t do black tights and black shoes because that does seem strangely dark for a little one.

I have two toddler granddaughters. One will keep on her shoes, hairbows, etc.; the other one will take them off as soon as possible. I.e. If she got to the altar, she’d sit down and take them off.
I’d go with as cheap and easy as possible, maybe no tights with ballet slippers.

I’m thinking pink gum boots with purple flowers would be very cute, though not quite formal.

For me Purple is a very good color! What do you thing ?
