My fiance and I are just starting to look into suits but we are stuck with what colour to go for.
The girls are wearing floor length black dresses with one shoulder strap & carrying green and white bouquets mabye with a hint of purple for colour.
I am wearing floor length ivory gown + veil + white bouquet with some green foliage. The bouquets should add some colour to the photos and theme!
The wedding is based in the Hunter Valley and the majority of outdoor photos will be in the green vineyards.
Now…do you think the guys should go all black to for a classic look with groom with ivory tie and groomsmen with black tie? Or will it be too black?
Alternatively, guys could wear dark grey to break it up a bit?
I have attached some pics – what do you guys think look better?

We are doing the same thing… floor length black gowns for the ladies with green lanterns and flowers attached… I’ll be in diamond white with green and white flowers. Our guys will also be head to toe black with the groom wearing a diamond white tie…
I think it looks super classy and we’d have matching weddings so I vote black!

Obviously either grey or black will work well. You could meet in the middle and have charcoal.

I did black Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and black suits. I thought they all looked amazing. We did black suits and grey ties for the guys and black suit and black tie for Darling Husband. FYI, we picked up the suits at Burlington Coat factory for $120 and they got to keep them.

I second the charcoal suggestion. Even something like pewter would be nice!

I like the dark gray. If it were an urban wedding I might say black but with the green I love softer more natural look.
Are the Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses chiffon? satin? Satin might be better with black. But chiffon would be nicer with gray.
I actually think that a dark navy blue would be really nice as well!

I say black suits too – I love the contrast with the outdoor setting 🙂
