I WAS doing black, silver and purple but after I bought my dress and I work in the industry I have now molded myself to skip silver and black (the reception venue would look awful!) to champagne linens, chivari chairs, and some centerpieces with jewel tone, dark reds and purples. Very modern with rich colors as accents!

I couldn’t pick a single color (or two, for that matter) if forced by a pack of wolves. So, I felt uber lucky when I stumbled across a pack of scrapbooking paper with a bunch of colors that I love – and that my Fiance agreed to instantly. (Also, we aren’t having a wedding party, so we don’t feel as boxed in by having to match dresses, ties, etc.)
Now, I have my palette:

I like your colors! I think they’ll work well in September. I’m a May bride and we’ve gone with plum, lavender, and silver as our colors.

I also didn’t want the traditional fall colors, so we are going with a grayscale color that gradually darkens to a black currant. I think it will look really nice with our venue, which is on a ninth floor terrace. Also, the reception is in a stone walled room with pillars. I think, hopefully, that it will all pull together beautifully!

@cardus:we’re doing a blue just like that! in fact, thats how i’ve been describing it to everyone “somewhere between royal and teal”, haha. and then green and ivory (and probably champagne gold for a few things)
our reception hall is all greens and browns and i think it will just look great there! also blue is my favorite color 🙂

Plum, ivory, black accents & hunter green. I’m doing a vintage indoor wedding & reception, and we’re scottish, so all the men will be in kilts. And the clan I’m marrying into wears a mostly hunter green based tartan. Lots of lace & pearls for me.

We are doing blue and pink. I’m not sure if it will be a bright blue or more of a navy yet, but the pink will definitely be a fuchsia that pops against the blue.

I’m a September 21st 2012 Bride. We’re having serious color troubles! We love the sophistication of Black, Charcoal and Champagne. I really want fall themes colors in my flowers. My question is to my fellow Brides, is Black, Charcoal, and Champagne ok for fall. Then incoporate the deep rich fall colors
( plums, maroons, oranges, golden yellows, and greens) into the flower bouquets and arrangements. My dress is Ivory with champagne appliques.
We would LOVE suggestions…

Our colours are going to be teal, coral, and yellow (with grey suits) — we’re going for a whimsical garden party theme. Our entire day is at the same venue, and we’re playing bocce, croquet, and mini putt between the ceremony and reception. It’ll be fairly low key, and I don’t care what my bridesmaids wear (as long as it’s NOT black).

Up until last week, our colors were Cobalt blue, yellow and grey. We live in Indy and I just couldn’t get it out of my head that it looked liked Pacers colors! lol I really liked it, but then, while researching color palettes, I found a cranberry red/grey combo that I fell in love with! I always wanted red/black/silver but Fiance did not like it at all. I show him the cranberry/grey last week and he loves it! Go figure. Here’s my inspiration:

We’re doing eggplant and champagne…with sunflowers as the main flower for table decorations and bridesmaid bouquets. I’ll probably have some sunflowers in mine with other yellow flowers also.
