So, I found my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses today – goregous floaty chiffon Aqua coloured dresses and at the same time my fiance was in a grooms shop and decided on teal so it’s all worked out really well!
The things is, I have no clue what colours go with aqua and teal and I need help! Our wedding is quite vintage in style (a tea party style!) , my dress is ivory with pewter accents and my fiance has charcoal grey trousers with a light grey jacket (apparently it looks good!).
I love the ‘ice cream’ colours around in springtime and since the weding is in April I would like to keep to pastels….but what works? and does anyone have any photos I can see?

I was thinking yellow as well, maybe grey too.

How about yellows and oranges?

(not all at once, mind you 😀 )

I love gold and aqua… tons of yellow flower options that are inexpensive.
But I would also consider a like a light powder blue and deep aqua… a little different!

Yellow, Red, Tangerine, Brown 🙂 My colors were Aqua and Red, however I am very much in love with the Aqua and Tangerine for spring.

Love the ideas! Really liking the pinks and yellows…. am considering having loads togther, so bouquets of pastel/ice cream colours………………what do you think? Is it too much?
The theme is vintage alice in wonderland/mad hatters tea party so it’s going to be slightly crazy anyway but I don’t want it to look bad!
I also then have the dilema of trying to figure out flowers now as I have no clue about styles, shapes etc etc etc…..arghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
I also have the problem that 3 of my bridesmaids like the dress but now the older 3 want different dresses and I don’t know what to do!!! Do I make them find dresses in aqua too or different colours?
seriously, this wedding is already stressing me out!

If you’re having all these colors, what about having the BMs in the different colored dresses? That migh be fun and colorful while using the aqua and/or teal as your base color. Differing styles are no big deal – a theme may not be identifiable to your guests, but the colors you use will set the tone. They’ll get it. Let the BMs have some control; after all, they are the ones who will be wearing the dress, and they need to feel beautiful, too. Good luck!

Since my last post i’ve chosen aqua and coral as the Bridesmaid or Best Man colours as the younger girls are in aqua dresses with coral shoes.
What colours can I put the older bridesmaids in that will work with the theme? I can’t find any other aqua coloured chiffon dresses online that will match and the idea of them sticking out and looking rubbish is really stressing me out!
The boys are wearing teal if that helps!

Try going to a store that sells paint chips. Pick one that is your color, then start playing around with the other chips to see what looks good together. It’s fun to do with someone! My Maid/Matron of Honor and i went to Home Depot WITH her dress and that is how I picked color 2. Plus, I grabbed a bunch of the chips (really paper) and now I carry the colors with me at all times!
