We’ve been including everything but the ering, our wedding rings, and our honeymoon.  Those are extras in our eyes.  Everything from the invites, to thank you gifts/cards, to the dress/tux are all wedding costs as far as I’m concerned.  Our budget even includes the postage to mail all the invites, thank yous, shower thank yous, etc.

@Cordellia:  I’m including everything but the engagement ring (since that was in the pre-wedding planning phase) and the honeymoon.

When people ask how much my wedding costs, I say “It costs enough” because that’s NONE of their beeswax!

For my own purposes, I include everything we split 50/50 – so everything but the e-ring.

I didn’t include my e-ring, honeymoon and wedding bands, but included anything else that contributed towards my wedding day.  That included 2 rental houses for both our families, as I would otherwise have had to include accomodations too.

When adding it up for ourselves, we generally included everything but the engagement ring and the honeymoon. But are there a lot of people asking you that question? It seems a little inappropriate – you don’t have to answer them! I don’t think anyone other than us and my parents knew how much we spent on the wedding.

@Cordellia:  I’m counting everything except my engagement ring and the honeymoon.  Those expenses are separate in my mind.

I have receipts from the stamps I bought in the envelope with the wedding receipts.

@Cordellia:  I would say everything except the e-ring and honeymoon. So everything directly involved with the wedding itself.
