Apocalyptica’s cover of “Nothing Else Maters”
Marilyn Manson’s “Sweet Dreams are Made of This”
Johnny Cash – “Hurt”

I prefer the cover of “Something to Believe In” by Pretenders to the original by The Ramones.
I’ll throw is another vote for the Save Ferris version of “Come on Eileen.”
New Found Glory did two cover CDs (From Your Screen to your Stereo). I love Glory of Love off the first cd (Peter Cetera) and The Promise off their second (When in Rome). I’m also a huge fan of Neutral Milk Hotel’s cover of I Love How You Love Me (The Paris Sisters).
99 Problems by Hugo so much better than Ice-T and Jay-Z’s versions.
Forever by Boyce Avenue instead of Chris Brown
Ya’ll should check out Richard Cheese. He does lounge singer style versions of popular songs, and they’re a hoot!
Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright, All Along the Watchtower by Bear McCreary, Hey Ya by Obadiah Parker, Romeo & Juliet by The Killers, and basically all covers done by Metallica (like Astronomy and Whiskey in the Jar). I also really love 311’s cover of Lovesong, but I’m such a big fan of The Cure that I can’t say it’s my favorite, so I’ll just say they’re tied. 🙂
A cheesier suggestion: Better Than Ezra’s version of “Use Me.” Love that song.
Always on my mind – Cover by Pet Shop Boys – Original by Elvis Presley
Where the streets have no name – Also cover by Pet Shop Boys – Original by U2
Against all odds – Cover by Mariah Carey – Original by Phil Collins
Adele’s verision of Make You Feel My Love, originally done by Bob Dylan.
Hurt by Johnny Cash (original NIN)
Walk the line by Live (original Johnny Cash)
