I got the delta 4-in-1 crib from Walmart for $200 and a Hemnes dresser from Ikea for $220. Also, our nursery doesn’t have a closet and our other closets are really full so we got an armoire from Ikea as well for $200. We’re on a budget so I am happy with what we spent. We have yet to get a glider because I’m cheap and indecisive! Haha<br />

ecjohnson:  I just have to say I’m sooooo glad I got a glider. I’m also super cheap and just couldn’t spend the money. I got a wooden rocking chair for free and hated it. When DD got more squirmy she would hit her head on the arms, and once she went into her crib at 4 months and I had to go into her room to feed her, it was just so uncomfortable! I came across a used one for $150 (it’s a Shermag) and I love it! Definitely worth having in my opinion!

I bought the Lolly & Me Ellery crib from Target and paired it with a Savanna Bella dresser/changer with hutch from JC Penney. Hopefully, these pieces will last me through one more child after this pregnancy and a move out of state in a few years!

I plan on getting the Babyletto Skip Crib $329 and Dresser with Changing Top $389. As for a rocker, I’ve also gone back and forth but I know I’ll want an upholstered version so right now I’m looking at the Nurseryworks Sleepytime Rocker $550. I’ll also be putting up IKEA Ribba picture rails to display books $15 each.

I got the grayson crib (convertible to a full size bed with additional cost of rails), matching nightstand, 5 drawer chest, and long dresser.  Total with coupons at buybuybaby was about $2500 – but I plan on this being his furniture until he moves out.  I am also going to get my mom’s rocking chair from when we were kids and put some new cushions on it.  I am totally loving the color of the furniture it is getting delivered this weekend!

We haven’t officially decided but I’m 95% sure we’re going to go with the Baby Appleseed at Buybuybaby but in slate 🙂 With the dresser, hutch top, crib, conversion rails, tall dresser… around $2500. We agreed we want good furniture to last them for a very long while, so we wanted to splurge. We’ll also add an additional changing table for a bit, once we find one we like, since we didn’t like the idea of using the hutch.

but in this color:

We’ll also be adding a glider, but haven’t decided on one yet.

NewfieBullet:  Yes, I want one…and my husband wants me to have one but I just can’t make a decision. I am too afraid to buy online without trying it out! Ay yi yi…I need to figure it out though because my daughter is due 3/3!

We got the Davinci Kalani crib in espresso – I like that it comes with a toddler rail, and we’ll be buying the side rails to covert it to a full-size bed when our daughter is ready for a big-girl bed.  We’ll be getting a dresser from Ikea (I think the larger Hemnes dresser in white), and we got a hand-me-down glider from my brother and sister-in-law.  We weren’t going to splurge for the glider (we were just going to get a rocking chair from Ikea), but oh my god, it’s amazing!  If you can find or make room in your budget for it, get a nice upholstered glider!  The crib and dresser are both around $200 or a little more.

We plan on going to garage sales in the spring to look for ctibs, we will buy the mattress brand new. As long as the crib is not a recalley variety and is in great shape then we will buy. Just looking for tan, white, or grey. Even a wood color would be fine. Just as long as it’s safe. Dressers too… hope to find at garage sales.

ccantics:  That is a beautiful crib! I have a Shermag glider that I got at a consignment sale. We wanted a quality one that would last and we could use elsewhere in the house someday. I think it fits the bill. 🙂

DaVinci Jenny Lid 3-1 Crib from Target for $199.00. Changing table on craigslist for $5, yes five dollars. Dressers for free from craigslist that I repainted white and the tops black. Rocking Chair was in my livingroom that I bought years ago at a yardsale and repainted black. End table free on craigslist the only thing I did was update the knob.
