Not sure what your budget is.. we went to Thailand  – Six Senses Yao Noi on an island called Koh Yao Noi. It was aaaammmaaazzeeeballss!

Most of the time we did the deed ;), ate sushi, walked around jungle resort, read books, batic painting, boat tour of islands, romantic in villa dinner, romantic secluded beach picnic, watched movies, swam in infinify pool, tour of island, snorkeling. Honestly the resort was affordable but the flight was expensive (from Illinois USA to Thailand was like 21 hours not counting layovers)

My husband booked the stay, we stayed at a villa called “The View”, this is not all inclusve …and we decided on that because we dont really eat and drink that much.

We also chose this because I knew we’d want to have children soon and this would probobly be the only awesome vacation (outside of like camping) that we’d be able to take and pay for.

Edit: We paid a total of $7400 for 8 nights for everything

We went to the Excellence Playa Mujeres resort in Cancun. It was PHENOMENAL! We paid about $8K for 9 days in the best room they had (We went in May so it was a bit cheaper than the middle of winter).

Most activities were included at the resort but we did pay about $60USD to go on a snorkeling adventure for a few hours which was so much fun!

And like the above, lots of time was spent alone ๐Ÿ˜‰ ๐Ÿ˜‰

Technically I didn’t get one – husband had to go back to work.  But my sister and I took a little road trip just after the wedding, since she hardly ever gets out to see me.  We did a driving trip through the mountains, stopping at the little towns on the way, shopping b/c it was rainy and hiking when it wasn’t.  We had a great time for a few days and then she was headed back home again.

Honeymoons don’t have to be far away or over the top.  It’s about spending some quality time with the one you love most (or your sister, lol).  Find things you really enjoy but never get around to doing.  Rent a cabin for a few days and just snuggle up together (just do a web search for vacation rentals and the area you’re interested in).  It could be very memorable compared to doing the ‘standards.’

toured italy for 2 weeks.  while we did book through a great site and got a great deal.  i see really amazing deals through groupon and livingsocial.  we wanted a little more flexibility that those trip offered. but if you are on a budget, i would look into groupon vacations.

lindseykaye46:  What’s your budget? There are all inclusive tripes to resorts in the Bahamas for like $600 a person for 5 days, 4 nights. That includes airfare, hotel, and food/booze. Ya can’t go wrong with that!

We’re headed to a 7 night all inclusive stay to the island of Levantado, which is in the Samana Province of the Dominican Republic. We’ve been before, and th food is AMAZING, beaches are gorgeous, good entertainment and drinks a plenty!

We booked via trip central, for $1400/person CANADIAN which includes airfare!! (So think $1050 USD).  We’re so excited to go back ๐Ÿ™‚

My Fiance and I are taking a cruise to Bermuda. We went on one last year and wanted to go back. My fiance is afraid to fly after a bad experience we had flying to florida and cruising to Bermuda is cheaper! If you shop around you can get a great deal!

With my original marriage we did a 3 day cruise to the Bahamas.  It was amazing and within our (very limited) budget

I used cheap Caribbean to book our honeymoon. We stayed at Dreams Sugar Bay in St Thomas and it was all inclusive. There was a lot to do at the resort and all you can eat sushi!!!  They had a French and Italian restaurant too. They included snorkeling and an intro scrub class too

We were so happy with our experience on cheap Caribbean we booked our anniversary trip there too (AI in St Croix). They have amazing deals if you’re looking in that area. We love not stressing about money once we are there (though if you go to St Thomas swimming with sea lions at the aquarium is totally worth the money).

Monikax3x3:  that’s why we are going to Crete! I just found out today :). Fiance researched and booked it all as a surprise.  My requests were short flight (from uk), a sun bed, cocktails, and something to do for a day or two. He’s come up trumps. 5 star resort in chi chi town. On a bargain deal for 10 days. vip room, private transfers the lot.  Saving our money for a ‘big’ holiday in the winter where we will go luxe long haul.  Would love a tropical honeymoon but not risking the rain and storms at that time of year.

lindseykaye46:  I googled lol the BEST deals are like if you buy a week prior to going, but I dk what timeline you’re allowing yourself. But yeah, if you google “all inclusive carribean/bahama” trips, you should be able to find something!
