achicago :  I was waiting all through dinner, but he waited until after when we went back by his place and took a walk together.  It was just the two of us.  Just perfect for us!! 🙂

I just knew it would happen sometime on our trip, we went to the east coast to look at venue locations since we had already set the date.  We were at the lighthouse where we will be doing our first look, and it was rainy, windy, and cold, and I hadn’t put any makeup on!  I knew he was going to propose when he kept moving me around the the little peninsula lol  He would be like “Oh we should stand here” and then stand there awkwardly, and then shortly after moving there he’d say “Let’s walk over there!”, just trying to find the best spot.

We went inside to warm up, and there was a local artist selling prints of his lighthouse paintings.  We bought one, and that’s when he said he decided to propose there!  We went back outside, he asked a nearby couple to take pictures (which I pretended to not notice), and then he proposed.  It was so sweet! He was so nervous and SO happy that he suprised me.

As far as my emotions, it felt surreal. We’d been together 4 years and set a date for the wedding so it wasn’t really a suprise. But I had been waiting on the proposal for years.  I did end up tearing up, and we were so happy afterwards.  I felt like we were floating, and our cheeks hurt from smiling so much! It was such a happy day that I’ll always remember.

And a proposal pic because I love seeing other peoples 🙂
