Trying to decide what my Fiance should wear for our wedding. I know I do want him to be in black (groomsmen in grey or charcoal), and my dress is a very light ivory.
So my question is, should I have Fiance wear an ivory vest and tie/bowtie, or a black tie/bowtie? Do you prefer the look of tie or bowtie? What did you all do or plan to do?

I had my husband in a black tux with an ivory vest and ivory bowtie. My dress was ivory. The groomsmen wore dark gray tuxes with a light pink long tie/vest. I loved it! I love the classic look of the groom in a black tux with white/ivory to compliment the bride, and the other guys in something different

Pardon the awful pictures (we just got married and none of our pro pics are back yet!) but Darling Husband wore white pants, navy driving Mocs, a pink jacket, purple navy and pink bow tie, purple boutonnière and navy pocket square. Yes, I know it sounds awful but he actually looked great. Black was too traditional for us. First pic was at his first fitting so it’s a bit loose.

My FH will be wearing his uniform but otherwise I imagine he’d wear black or navy blue. We’re trying to figure out groomsman suits right now!

He’s wearing dark red with a white shirt and red floral tie.
Personally, I hate bowties. They look very childish to me.

Fiance is having a navy three-peice lounge suit made to measure. The groomsmen are wearing two-piece lounge suits.

My Darling Husband wore a bespoke three piece charcoal suit and pink tie. Groomsmen were in bespoke suits as well but two piece in a lighter grey and darker pink ties.

My handsome fella rocked the bow tie and I loved it. He wore dark charcoal and all the groomsmen wore a lighter grey.

My husband wore a full on morning suit with a wing collar and ruched knot tie. He looked drop dead gorgeous.

Lol my husband wore khaki slacks and a navy button down. None of that fancy stuff for us! I’d go with a standard classic tie. I can’t get past the bow tie trend, it’s unappealing to me. Definitely something to date all 20teen weddings in the future. (And yeah I know they were classic for awhile too and still are with tuxes. I just hate em)
